Evolve Neurological

Physiotherapy provides

community-based services

to people with neurological

conditions and disability

living in the Geelong and

surrounding areas.

Why do you do what you do?

So that our clients can live bigger brighter

lives, stay home, participate in life.

“Together

we achieve more”

As a small but mighty team of Physiotherapists, Therapy Assistants and Exercise Physiologists this is exactly what we stand for and that’s why we have embraced this as our team motto.

Together we support our clients to achieve their goals through experience, collaboration, great communication and teamwork.

Profile of the business owner

Claire, Founder of ‘Evolve Neurological Physiotherapy’ qualified as a physiotherapist in the UK more than 30 years ago. She has been working in the Geelong region providing neurological physiotherapy services for the last 20 years. In this time Claire has built strong community connections and a reputation for providing high quality and sought after services in the region.

Claire is a confident, kind and compassionate physiotherapist and 8 years ago began the journey to develop a business around her, so she was able to continue to support her clients, whist providing a professional service and developing a team of likeminded health professionals who shared her commitment and passion of helping to improve the lives of individuals with disabilities. Claire

feels extremely lucky to have been able to build a business from her strong set of personal values: kindness, empathy, and compassion. Business growth has been organic, and Claire continues to have a strong commitment to ensuring her clients and now her staffs wellbeing is first and foremost.

Your Future Team Mates

We are a team of 7 physiotherapists including Grade 3/ Grade 2/ Early Career Physiotherapists/Contractors. The team is structured to ensure there is a focus on support and team work to enable us to get the best outcomes for our clients, whist supporting each other’s learning through supervision and  collaboration.

We also have Exercise Physiologists, a large team of amazing Allied Health Assistants and a legend of a Practice Manager. Between us all we have more than 70 years of collective experience!

We enjoy working and learning together and collaborate regularly to ensure quality client care. You will be joining a team that likes cake, low drama meetings and easy communication team wide.

“I love working with Claire and the

team. It is a beautifully small and tight

knit team of caring physiotherapists.

I also love the flexibility of being able

to control my own diary, work hours

and caseload which has been a huge

positive. Working from home is also

a huge benefit and has allowed me

to develop a great work life balance. I

find support is only a phone call away

and there are plenty of team meetings,

PD opportunities and supervisions

to enable me to feel supported and

part of a wider team. I also enjoy the

autonomy, stress free environment

and opportunity it has given me to

progress from a therapy assistant to

new graduate to a Grade 2 role.”

Current goals the entire team are

working towards

Our team are currently focussing on staff wellbeing and ways we can stay even better connected and supported. We know that when we look after our selves we are better placed to work in a team and to serve our clients.

We have recently introduced:

  • Employee Assistant Program. We are currently working with ‘The Happiness Hub’ providing our staff with valuable coaching and support. This is designed to enhance the emotional, mental and general psychological wellbeing of all our employees. The aim is to provide preventive and proactive interventions to support staff to maximise their performance and overall wellbeing.

  • Structured shadowing program. We have developed a “buddy” program whereby staff work alongside a different staff member each month to shadow and be shadowed creating really valuable learning opportunities, a space to share feedback and ideas and to work collaboratively with our clients.

“I have been working at Evolve

Neurological Physiotherapy since the

beginning of 2022 and have loved

every part of my experience so far.

I began as a Therapy Assistant and

have seamlessly transitioned into

a Physiotherapy role, thanks to the

amazing team who have delivered their

ongoing support and expertise.

As a team, our dedication towards

helping our clients is apparent through

the delivery of a continuous and

reliable service, to ensure our clients

have the best opportunity to succeed

in their day to day life. I love having the

opportunity to build meaningful and

trusting relationships with my clients,

as well as providing them with the

support and confidence to continue to

strive towards attaining their personal

goals.

Current goals the entire team are

working towards

We prioritise and support our staff with many opportunities for learning and career development.

This currently includes:

  • Monthly team meetings and PDs to explore business, customer service, clinical and professional learning and sharing.

  • Monthly Early Career meeting and PDs so that you’re supported and on the right track from the get go.

  • Monthly Peer Support Meeting/ Journal Club, a space to question, discuss, maybe challenge clinical research and application to our own practices.

  • Weekly 1:1 supervision for new graduates, where the focus is on your progress, the help you may need and the stepping stones so that you make sustainable progress during your first year out.
  • Generous training allowance ($1500/ year) and study leave as part of employment package. Who doesn’t love learning and we are committed investing in you.

  • 3 monthly appraisals and career development planning, this way we stay on the same page, celebrate progress and know what you need next to progress your career.

  • Structured whole team shadowing program, such a powerful way to learn from and with each other in real time clinical moments.

  • Co-working with experienced physiotherapists with more complex clients, nothing like learning from those who have seen it before and are marching in front of you ready, willing, and able to share their knowledge.

Work Environment

We are 100% community-based servicing Geelong, Bellarine Peninsular, Surf Coast, and Golden Planes. The beauty of Geelong is that there is little traffic congestion and decent parking. Driving is stress-free and through beautiful environments which makes the travel an enjoyable part of the job. Geelong has the best of everything, from beaches to bush to restaurants and cafes, all within easy reach. The surf is up, the hiking trails await and let’s throw in a winery for lunch all within 30 minutes. And let’s not forget nearby Music Festivals and A Day on the Green, anyone?

The big smoke is about an hour away, with Avalon Airport and Spirit of Tasmania even closer than that. We encourage staff to take advantage of being able to work flexibly to maximise work-life balance, enabling them to complete their contract hours with the flexibility to start later, take a long lunch, or fit in a gym class or surf during their day.

Employees drive their own cars with an additional vehicle allowance as part of their package. Staff are provided with their own computer, phone, and a car kit including a tote bag of small exercise equipment. We also have a stock of shared equipment to trial with our clients.

Financial rewards

We have extremely manageable KPIs and billable targets, and our focus is most definitely on providing a great service with great outcomes whilst supporting our staff's happiness. KPIs are based on experience, and billable targets are certainly not the only KPI we focus on. Remuneration is extremely generous, being well over the award rate.

There is the opportunity to work towards increasing remuneration through our staff bonus system. For productivity that is above the set KPI, there is an incentive of 25% commission for each additional billable hour above the KPI, assessed and paid quarterly. This is such a boost for those saving for something, and we love that we can help you with this.

Team Supports

We are lucky to have an absolute legend of a Practice Manager who provides support in many areas to make our work life smoother and more efficient. Our meeting schedule includes:

  • Monthly team meeting
  • Monthly group new graduate/early career supervision
  • Monthly peer support catchup/journal club
  • Weekly 1:1 supervision for new grads/fortnightly 1:1 supervision for early career
  • Quarterly appraisals

Remember our moto…

“Together We Achieve More”

Well, there is more….

Other ways we support our team:

Quarterly team building days are such a joy, spending the whole day together, reflecting, learning, and doing different things together.

  • Regular social catchups, all planned to include everybody’s time and tastes, and well we know the stories that tumble out from these events.
  • Annual fund-raising event, we love that we can help others that we will never meet to live better lives.
  • An additional 2 ‘Wellbeing Days’ per year on top of leave allocation, yes it's ok to have a couple of doona days to rest up and recharge.
  • EAP with ‘The Happiness Hub’, the practical anonymous professional helping hand that we all need at some time or another to be the best version of ourselves.
A man and a woman are holding hands and smiling.

Our Allied Health Assistant Crew

We are incredibly proud of our AHA army! The service has grown exponentially over the last few years, and this talented bunch provides our clients with essential and high-quality supports through the delivery of individualized exercise and therapy programs in a variety of community settings. The AHAs work closely with experienced physiotherapists, and it is an amazing learning opportunity for students with an interest in providing exercise supports to a unique and diverse group of individuals. We have literally seen this rewarding role change our AHA's lives and influence future career pathways. For Physiotherapy students, this has also been an opportunity for ongoing employment after graduation.

Our Graduate Program

Our graduate program is an area we have focused on developing over the last few years, and we are proud of our results. As a small, tight-knit team, we provide a supportive and caring environment where we can walk beside our new grads as they embark on the beginning of their career. This is a responsibility we do not take lightly. With structured support and a warm, friendly team vibe, we pride ourselves in being able to tailor supports to suit the graduate. After all, we are all different, and we recognize that one size does not fit all! With an open, flexible, and proactive approach, there is nothing we can’t discuss, address, and improve.

Our new graduates are supported with weekly 1:1 supervision and three structured and timetabled meetings and PDs per month (Team Meeting, New Grad Team Meeting, Peer Support Meeting). In addition to the structured meetings, there is plenty of opportunity for ad-hoc support as questions arise via phone/email, and our team WhatsApp chat. Support really is only a phone call away.

Our new graduates also receive a generous study allowance and study leave, and we regularly share research updates, upcoming courses, and PD opportunities in our team WhatsApp. Our new EAP (Employee Assistance Program) is a new initiative offering staff monthly sessions with a psychologist for 3 months and ongoing support as required. A perfect way to debrief and work on strategies to assist the transition from student to employee.

The senior staff at ENP genuinely love what they do, and our goal is to share our passion with you. We want nothing more than for our new graduates to still be loving their job in 30 years' time and beyond!

The Vibe

We are a team committed to building work-life balance, not just from what we say but also what we do. Team yoga, Pilates, getting outside for meetings/supervision when we can, making time and prioritizing the things we love outside of work, and working together collaboratively all help to ensure we are serving our community from a full cup. Through fostering strong connections within our team and our community and constantly looking for ways we can improve, we can keep growing Evolve and growing ourselves.

We hope you like the sound of how we do things here at ENP. This is just a snapshot of what we get up to, and we would love you to take the next step and find out a bit more about how we can work together.

“Working at Evolve as an AHA

while studying has been fantastic.

Arranging work around forever

changing university timetables

has been easy and flexible. The

whole team are very supportive

and understanding, ensuring

all questions are answered by

consistently checking in. As an

AHA the interaction with clients

provides a great opportunity to

link study to real life scenarios and

so it is a really valuable learning

experience”
